How do we conduct our EPCs?

  • We will confirm the booking by email, an include a brief summary of what the assessor will need to complete the EPC.
  • On the day of the Deal EPC assessment, we'll introduce ourselves and show our official ecmk ID card.
  • Our assessment will take approximately 60-90 mins (depending on the property size).
  • During the EPC assessment, we will need access to:
    • The external walls, where possible
    • All the rooms of the property
    • Any loft space, where accessible
  • As an energy assessor, we only provide a visual inspection - we don't drill into walls or remove loft boarding. Consequently, we can only assess what's visible, and sometimes we will ask for documentation to support the assessment.
  • Once the evidence for the EPC assessment has been collected, we enter our findings into the Governmental RdSAP software and create the EPC.
  • The summary of the EPC results will be emailed to you, along with our invoice.
  • When the invoice has been paid, we will upload your EPC to the government's National EPC Register and email you the link.
